Blog Address

This is 'The Space between Time', a little corner of the massive construct that is the Internet.

In here, I hope to take my first steps into becoming an online entertainment provider. I'll be starting out small with an online review series, including some video. The starting subject: ANIMATION.

I get some people are going to say, "But aren't there already plenty of anime reviewers?" Sort of. I'm not going to be focusing on animated productions of Asia. Really, my focus will be on animated production here in the West. There have been plenty of anime reviewers out there, so treading that ground again is rather pointless at the moment. Western animations both in the Americas and in Europe, are rather untapped at the moment and only glanced at a few t

So, please let my clarify with a couple of points:

  • A Focus on Western Animation
Even if the production of the animation itself takes place outside of a western country, I'll still be reviewing them since they are still considered 'Western Animation'. Example: the well-beloved "Batman: The Animated Series" had assistance from Japanese animated studios such as TMS Entertainment and Akom Productions during its show runs. I'll be sure to mention them during my reviews, of course.

  • Original VS Dubbing
This is not something limited to Anime as well. Many foreign movies and shows from Europe and South America. It will mostly be subjective, depending on which shows were mainly shown in their home countries and which ones were brought over to the English-speaking crowd. While it won't happen often, I can watch a production in its original state. Subtitles can help, though if it is good enough in its animation, then I should be able to figure out what is going on though visuals alone.

  • So Many Styles

I won't be focusing on just hand-drawn animation for the series. CGI or stop motion, if it is considered western animation, then chances are I'll review it. Which brings me to...

  • Video Games Too?

I'm not talking about 'Let's Players' here (though that wouldn't be such a bad idea in the future). The focus will be on more on the Western division of video games, rather than ones made by Nintendo or Square Enix. Those companies are great too, but they won't be that big of a part of this series. For awhile, at least, not even the video games will take part. Just need to wait.

  • Education through Entertainment
This is, ultimately, what I would like to give out through this series. Something that can entertain people as well as education on different series, shows and movies out there through one of my favorite mediums.

Come back next week when I'll discuss why I would take such a step into this life, as well as some of my personal fears in what could happen.

Anyway, thanks for reading. Hope for you to tune in next time. :)
